This Privacy Policy explains what information our Bible applications — Bible, Bible Home and Tamil Bible (each, the “App”) — collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. The Apps are free to use and are supported by advertising.
By installing or using an App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The Apps do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or postal address. Your reading position, bookmarks, highlights, favourites, notes, font settings and daily devotional progress are stored on your own device and are not transmitted to us.
When you use an App, we and the third-party services listed below may automatically receive:
The Apps use the third-party services listed below. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles the data it receives, and we encourage you to read them.
Where required by law — including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and certain United States jurisdictions — the App asks for your consent before personalised advertising is used, and offers the choice of non-personalised advertising instead.
You can review or change that choice at any time:
Choosing non-personalised advertising does not remove advertising from the App. It means the advertisements you see are selected using contextual signals rather than your advertising identifier.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal information, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent you have previously given. Residents of California and certain other United States states may additionally have the right to opt out of the sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, and not to be treated differently for exercising that right.
Because the Apps do not require an account, we generally cannot identify an individual user from the information we hold. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask that a diagnostic record associated with your device be removed, contact us at the address below and we will assist you within the period required by applicable law.
Diagnostic and analytics records are retained by the relevant Google service for that service's standard retention period and are then deleted or aggregated. Information stored by the App on your device remains until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
The Apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
The third-party services described above are operated by Google and may process information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers are governed by the provider's own safeguards and privacy policy.
We value your trust and use commercially acceptable means to protect the limited information involved. No method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Apps may contain links to sites we do not operate. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the content or privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of every site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date and takes effect when posted. Please review this page periodically.
